If you’re a New Jersey Licensed Tree Expert or Licensed Tree Care Operator, you’re required to obtain 32 continuing education credits every two years.
The New Jersey Board Of Tree Experts lists classes where you can receive these credits. The NJBTE is located at NJBTE.org.
At that website, you’ll also find all the necessary information you need in order to become an LTE or an LTCO in New Jersey.
Rutgers University is offering four classes in August that provide these credits. You can register for these classes and see more information about them at the links below.
August 22, Diseases and Pests of Trees (5.25 credits)
August 23, Introduction to Pruning (5 credits)
August 28, Invasive Plants: Identification and Management (5.5 credits)
August 30, Native Plants of Summer (5 credits)
If you don’t need these credits, you’re still quite welcome to take the classes. They’re filled with useful information!
