May 3 – Master Gardener Plant Sale

If you love to grow your own food, consider a visit to the Master Gardeners Plant Sale, Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Cook Campus, 103 College Farm Road, New Brunswick NJ (former location of NJ Museum of Agriculture).
There will be a varied selection of plants for home gardens available, including herbs and heirloom vegetables, ethnic vegetables, hot and sweet peppers, as well as common and unusual varieties of annuals, perennials, and vines.
This is a great opportunity for gardeners to acquire the following Rutgers developed varieties (available while supplies last) including the recently introduced Rutgers “D’Light” strawberries, Rutgers “250” tomatoes, and the Rutgers bred heirloom “Oritani” bell pepper that you may not find anywhere else.
Attendees can also consult with Rutgers Cooperative Extension volunteers and staff regarding garden plans, plant care, and pest problems.
Don’t forget your plant wagon! This event will be held rain or shine.
