Nobody likes crabgrass, and that’s why Matt Elmore, Assistant Extension Specialist in Weed Science, and Daniel P. Tuck, Field Researcher, have just published a detailed article called “Crabgrass Control in Lawns for Homeowners in the Northern U.S.” Please click the link and start striking fear into the heart of this formidable weed. The article also deals with other common weeds and discusses various control techniques, including specific pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides, organic herbicides, and other strategies.

Matt Elmore will be teaching a new one-day course here at Rutgers called “Managing Turfgrass and Landscape Weeds” on March 18, 2020.
